U.S. import tariffs on toys and games (2026)
Most toys and games in HTS chapter 95 have a Free base rate and are not on an active China Section 301 list, so the main extra cost is the 2026 forced-labor tariff. Its rate depends on the country of origin.

What drives these rates
- The forced-labor tariff is 12.5% for China, Vietnam and Thailand and 10% for India. For EU goods it is 10% reduced by the general duty rate (HTSUS U.S. note 52(k)).
- Toys that qualify under USMCA enter from Mexico duty-free. From Canada, toys under 9503.00.00 and some games pay a 50% Section 338 tariff (HTSUS U.S. note 51), even when they qualify under USMCA.
- Sporting goods are covered in the sporting goods guide; many of them pay a base duty and, from China, Section 301 as well.
